Brand Guidelines

Thanks for your interest in LocalX! Our brand was born from the ground up as part of #LinkedInLocal and has grown into a global movement helping humans (re)connect offline.

These basic guidelines have been produced in order to maintain consistency when applying the LocalX brand. Unless otherwise stated please use the following rules to maintain visual consistency.

Design Rationale

The following design guidelines, used correctly, will create a consistent brand identity that is bold, confident, professional and instantly recognizable as LocalX. The design guidelines exist to help maintain brand consistency, however they remain flexible enough, in that printers and designers alike may interpret them to suit specific job criteria and adapt them to suit. Final approval of those interpretations should always rest with LocalX and these guidelines should enable you to present a consistent brand at all times.

Brand Typeface: Roboto

Roboto has a dual nature. It has a mechanical skeleton and the forms are largely geometric. At the same time, the font features friendly and open curves.  While some grotesks distort their letterforms to force a rigid rhythm, Roboto doesn’t compromise, allowing letters to be settled into their natural width.  This makes for a more natural reading rhythm more commonly found in humanist and serif types.
